DMT Group’s activity in the Tower area started in 2001, developing according to an expansion strategy mainly based on the acquisition of local site portfolios and their aggregation into a nationwide infrastructure.
Starting from sites located in Lombardy and north-eastern Italy, the transmission site portfolio managed by DMT has gradually extended to cover the whole Northern Italy and then most of the national territory, at a constant and sustained expansion rate.
Towertel was created in 2003 to guide the Tower area.
In 2007, the sites managed by DMT in Italy were about 1,200.
