DMT is an Italian company operating in the sector of communication infrastructures, offering products and services, assisted and integrated, to radio-television network operators and wireless operators.
The DMT Group activity segments into two areas:
DMT's business began in January 2000, when Elettronica International—Digital Multimedia Technologies S.r.l. (the predecessor of DMT S.p.A.) acquired the business division of Elettronica Industriale S.p.A., which was involved in the design, manufacture, marketing and sale of television broadcasting equipment and the installation and assembly of antenna systems.
Since June 2004, DMT is listed at The Italian Stock Exchange market (Milan), Star/Techstar segment
Since beginning, DMT has offered a full range of integrated products and services (analogue and digital) to television broadcasters in Italy and abroad.
March 2000: DMT entered into a technology collaboration agreement with NTL, for the digital networks in Great Britain (the first commercial terrestrial digital network operating in Europe) as well as in Australia (completed in 2001).
March 2001: DMT entered into an agreement with "Telemontecarlo" (Cecchi Gori Communications S.p.A. - now Telecom Italia Media S.p.A.), which manages the La7 and MTV television networks as well as for the joint testing of digital terrestrial technology.
